Most Chicago photographers are use to dealing with wild, unpredictable weather and Saturday, August 4th had it's share. As I prepared to photograph the wedding of Jennifer and Victor, I knew there was a chance of rain. A storm like this one would literally put a damper on their rooftop reception at the The National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame on Taylor St..
As luck would have it, the rain held off until the end of their ceremony which was held at St. Jerome's Croatian Catholic Church in the Bridgeport neighborhood. Around 4:30 pm, the rain began to pour but fortunately, it only lasted about an hour.
Later, we were able to take advantage of the beautiful view of the city's skyline and capture some wonderful images atop the NIASHF. A beautiful sunset was a perfect end to the day!
